On May 28, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it will provide free rapid test kits to care institutions with high risk of COVID-19 transmission and the disadvantaged. Free rapid test kits will be distributed to care institutions based on the number of their staff and care recipients, with three test kits provided per person; the deployment and allocation of these free rapid test kits will be determined by the institutions. Free rapid test kits will also be provided to homeless people and the elderly living alone who are included in relevant social care lists, with each person eligible for five rapid test kits.
