CECC urges people in home quarantine/isolation to follow related regulations; violators are subject to cumulative penalties

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reminds members of the public that according to the Communicable Disease Control Act and Special Act for Prevention, Relief and Revitalization Measures for Severe Pneumonia with Novel Pathogens, those in home isolation may be fined ranging from NT$200,000 and NT$1,000,000 if they go out without permission or act in violation of other related rules. Furthermore, those in home quarantine may be fined ranging from NT$ 10,000 to NT$150,000 if they provide incorrect or false personal information on the health declaration notice upon entry; those under home quarantine may be fined ranging from NT$ 100,000 to NT$1,000,000 if they go out without permission, or fail to follow the rules for returning home from the airport prescribed on the home quarantine notice issued by the competent authority, or violate other related regulations.

Additionally, those in home isolation/home quarantine shall be imposed with cumulative penalties and in addition thereto, be forcibly placed under group quarantine if they leave home; they may not apply for disease prevention compensation, and a necessary surcharge will also be imposed.
