On June 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a shipment of 2.5 million doses of the Moderna vaccine donated by the U.S. government will arrive on a charter flight operated by China Airlines at Taoyuan International Airport this evening. This batch of vaccine doses will be offered to individuals to be vaccinated under the national COVID-19 vaccination program after completion of the subsequent testing and lot release procedures.

The CECC would like to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the US for its donation of COVID-19 vaccine doses to Taiwan, which greatly helps the country fight against the virus, during the tough times Taiwan is facing in the pandemic and amid the global shortage of vaccine supplies.
