In order to help travelers returning to Taiwan from abroad for the Lunar New Year holiday, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) began to make 1,500 rooms of group quarantine facilities available for arriving travelers starting January 8. All of the allocated rooms were fully booked as of 10 pm on January 13. A total of 232 travelers who planned to arrive in Taiwan from January 12 to January 15 and to stay at group quarantine facilities at their own expense have successfully checked in at their designated facilities.

The CECC pointed out that there are adequate rooms for travelers returning to Taiwan; arriving travelers can quarantine at group quarantine facilities as long as they make sure they have made a reservation on the booking system and obtained a booking code. For their booking code, travelers who have made a reservation can visit the online payment record platform of COVID-19 group quarantine accommodation at: https://hdhq.mohw.gov.tw/ (search booking identification code). For other related questions, travelers can call 1922 and shall leave the name, passport number and contact details for the reservation to facilitate handling of related inquiries.
