On October 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced seven new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. All those cases are imported. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the seven new imported cases, they are six men and one woman, aged between 10 to 49 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Myanmar (four cases), Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. They arrived between September 27 and October 8.

The CECC reported that a total of 3,590,010 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 3,572,076. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,294 cases. Of the 16,294 confirmed cases, 1,658 are imported; 14,582 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 110 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 846 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 846 deaths, 834 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
