On July 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a third batch of 970,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine provided by the Japanese government, a third batch of 560,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine Taiwan purchased from overseas, and a fourth batch of 350,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine purchased from overseas will arrive at Taoyuan International Airport this afternoon. These shipments of vaccine doses will be offered to individuals to be vaccinated under the national COVID-19 vaccination program after completion of the subsequent testing and lot release procedures.

The CECC thanks the Japanese government once again for providing the third batch of COVID-19 vaccine which, coupled with the shipments of the AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccine doses Taiwan purchased from overseas, will help Taiwan increase its vaccination coverage rate.
