On August 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, containing 1.2768 million doses for use on young children, purchased by the CECC this year arrived at Taoyuan International Airport this morning. This shipment of vaccine doses will be offered to children ages 6 months to 4 years for their primary series vaccination after completion of the subsequent testing and lot release procedures.
