On October 27, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a sixth batch of 300,000 doses of the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine provided by the Japanese government arrived at Taoyuan International Airport this morning. The vaccine doses will be shipped to designated cold storage and logistics centers for the subsequent testing and lot release procedures after customs clearance. This batch of vaccine doses will be distributed and offered to Taiwan citizens and Japanese nationals in Taiwan according to the CECC's plan.

The CECC expresses its sincere gratitude again to the government and people of Japan for providing the batch of AZ vaccine doses, which will help Taiwan boost its vaccination coverage.
