On October 11, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 11 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 11 new cases, one is domestic and the other ten are imported. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the new domestic case, Case #16411 is an over 40-year-old female. She sought medical attention for other illness and was tested for COVID-19 on October 9. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the case on October 11 (the CT value was 34.9, and she tested negative for IgM and positive for IgG antibodies).

Regarding the ten new imported cases, they are five men and five women, aged between 10 to 59 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Indonesia (three cases), the US (two cases), the Philippines (two cases), Singapore, and Mongolia (two cases). They arrived between September 26 and October 9.

The CECC reported that a total of 3,602,515 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 3,585,122. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,305 cases. Of the 16,305 confirmed cases, 1,668 are imported; 14,583 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 110 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 846 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 846 deaths, 834 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
