On March 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the 12th round of the name-based rationing system for at-home rapid test kits will begin on April 1 to increase access to rapid tests.

The CECC pointed out that as there is a stable supply of rapid tests, each round of the rapid test distribution system lasts for a month. In each round, people who have a National Health Insurance card or Resident Certificate are eligible to purchase rapid tests at NHI-contracted pharmacies or public health centers. Each eligible individual can purchase up to six packs of rapid tests (30 test kits) at a time or different times (no limit) and can have a person purchase on their behalf. One pack (five test kits) is still priced at NT$500.
