CECC confirms 13,311 more COVID-19 cases, including 13,276 domestic cases and 35 imported cases

On November 27, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 13,311 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 13,311 new cases, 13,276 are domestic and 35 are imported. The CECC announced 25 deaths today.

Regarding the 13,276 new domestic cases, 5,980 are male and 7,281 are female, while the gender of the other 15 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 2,064 were reported in New Taipei City, 1,729 in Taichung City, 1,708 in Kaohsiung City, 1,463 in Taoyuan City, 1,203 in Taipei City, 1,176 in Tainan City, 776 in Changhua County, 401 in Pingtung County, 397 in Hsinchu County, 394 in Hsinchu City, 361 in Yunlin County, 296 in Miaoli County, 239 in Chiayi County, 233 in Yilan County, 219 in Nantou County, 179 in Keelung City, 139 in Hualien County, 133 in Chiayi City, 100 in Taitung County, 44 in Kinmen County, 21 in Penghu County, and one in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 25 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 15 men and 10 women ranging in age from 50 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 35 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between October 28 and November 25, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 20,043,638 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,773,192. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 8,267,720 cases. Of the 8,267,720 confirmed cases, 37,538 are imported; 8,230,128 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 14,235 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 14,235 deaths, 14,218 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
