On June 11, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that it held a coordination meeting on COVID-19 vaccine rollout today.

Regarding 1.24 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine provided by the Japanese government, those vaccine doses will be offered to the elderly aged 75 and older (indigenous people aged 65 and older included). Those born before December 31, 1946 (inclusive) and indigenous people who possess documents proving their status and were born before December 31, 1956 (inclusive) all are eligible for vaccinations. Furthermore, the elderly aged 75 and older can receive vaccinations at a nearby vaccination site regardless of their place of residence or where their domicile place is registered. The CECC also pointed out that in principle, vaccinations will be available to them starting June 15.
