On November 29, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 17,289 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 17,289 new cases, 17,240 are domestic and 49 are imported. The CECC announced 21 deaths today.

Regarding the 17,240 new domestic cases, 7,978 are male and 9,255 are female, while the gender of the other seven cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 2,582 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,360 in Taichung City, 2,128 in Kaohsiung City, 1,641 in Taoyuan City, 1,544 in Tainan City, 1,523 in Taipei City, 1,035 in Changhua County, 579 in Pingtung County, 567 in Hsinchu County, 489 in Miaoli County, 485 in Yunlin County, 418 in Hsinchu City, 362 in Nantou County, 351 in Chiayi County, 280 in Yilan County, 241 in Hualien County, 195 in Chiayi City, 178 in Keelung City, 144 in Taitung County, 84 in Kinmen County, 49 in Penghu County, and five in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 21 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 12 men and nine women ranging in age from 50 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 49 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between November 1 and November 28, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 20,081,202 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 11,782,827. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 8,295,652 cases. Of the 8,295,652 confirmed cases, 37,656 are imported; 8,257,942 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 14,297 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 14,297 deaths, 14,280 are from domestic cases and the other 17 are from imported cases.
