On December 10, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced four new confirmed imported cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Among those four new cases confirmed today, one is an Indonesia woman in her 30s (Case #722), and the other three are Philippine nationals (Cases #723-725). Among the three Philippine nationals, Case #723 is a man in his 20s, Case #724 is a man in his 30s, and Case #725 is a woman in her 40s.

The CECC pointed out that all the four new cases are migrant workers. The four migrant workers came to Taiwan to work on November 25 and November 26. They all stayed at group quarantine facilities to undergo quarantine after arrival. Those four migrant workers were tested for COVID-19 on December 8 and December 9 before completing the quarantine period. Infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in the cases on December 10.

The CECC reported that a cumulative total of 113,526 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 111,369. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 724 cases. Of the 724 confirmed cases, 632 are imported; 55 are indigenous; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; and 1 case (Case #530) has been removed (Case #530 is not assigned to any patients). Of the confirmed cases, there have been 7 deaths, and 590 patients have been released from isolation, with the other 127 patients remaining hospitalized in isolation.
