The twenty-sixth meeting held by the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) was convened by the Vice Premier of the Executive Yuan, Li-Luan Chu.A total of 27 government agencies have participated in the meeting to discuss topics such as disease control measures implemented by schools and health care responses to the 2009 influenza pandemic.Several decisions were reached during the meeting.
The Ministry of Education has formulated response measures for school excursions, including field trips and graduation trips, to be implemented by all levels of schools.As for ongoing school excursions, the Ministry of Education has been asked to formulate relevant measures for students who are infected with pandemic influenza A (H1N1).
The outpatient services specifically designated for treating patients with influenza have successfully met the public’s demands for emergency department services.However, a few clinics in certain counties and cities have yet to fulfill similar demands.CECC has asked those counties and cities to improve the problem.
On September 11, 2009, the Vice Premier of the Executive Yuan was appointed the Commander-in-Chief of CECC by the Premier of the Executive Yuan, Den-Yih Wu.On September 15, 2009, the Vice Premier of Executive Yuan Chu convened the meeting held by CECC on pandemic influenza A (H1N1) for the first time since his appointment.CECC was established on April 28, 2009. As of September15, 2009, CECC has been in function for 141 days.
