240,000 doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine to arrive in Taiwan on afternoon of June 18

On June 18, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that a second batch of the Moderna vaccine containing 240,000 doses was shipped from Luxembourg at 18:00 on June 17 (Europe Time) and is scheduled to arrive at Taoyuan International Airport at 15:50 on June 18. The shipment of 240,000 doses is one of the vaccine batches Moderna will deliver under its supply agreement with Taiwan. The Moderna vaccine doses will be offered to individuals to be vaccinated under the national COVID-19 vaccination program after completion of the subsequent testing and lot release procedures.
