On January 6, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that after people receive their new passports, they have to wait until after noon time on the day following the day on which they received their passports to obtain their digital vaccine certificates with their new passport numbers. People who need digital vaccine certificates to travel abroad are advised to make passport applications before they travel. They are also advised to wait until after noon time on the day following the day of receipt of their new passports to apply for their certificates via computer or mobile phone online (https://dvc.mohw.gov.tw).

The CECC reminds members of the public to check relevant requirements as well as recognition of vaccine certificates of the country they plan to travel to before travel. Further information on how to apply for a digital certificate and the verification program is available on the Digital COVID-19 Certificate section of the MOHW website (https://covid19.mohw.gov.tw/ch/np-5345-205.html).
