Cumulative total of 420 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 189 patients released from isolation

On April 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 562 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on April 18 (contacts of the confirmed cases on the Dunmu (敦睦) Fleet of the Navy excluded). As of writing, a cumulative total of 53,005 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 50,619. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 420 cases (Cases #399-420 confirmed today). Of 420 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 341 are imported and 55 are indigenous while 24 are Navy members on the fleet. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 6 deaths, and 189 patients have been released from isolation, with the remainder remaining hospitalized in isolation.
