On June 25, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 40,398 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 40,398 new cases, 40,293 are domestic and 105 are imported. The CECC announced 151 deaths today.

Regarding the 40,293 new domestic cases, 18,554 are male and 21,721 are female, while the gender of the other 18 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years.

Of those domestic cases, 6,075 were reported in Taichung City, 5,567 in Kaohsiung City, 5,142 in New Taipei City, 3,603 in Tainan City, 3,272 in Taoyuan City, 3,068 in Changhua County, 2,806 in Taipei City, 1,759 in Pingtung County, 1,291 in Yunlin County, 1,015 in Hsinchu County, 983 in Miaoli County, 921 in Nantou County, 819 in Chiayi County, 819 in Hsinchu City, 702 in Yilan County, 591 in Chiayi City, 586 in Hualien County, 525 in Keelung City, 450 in Taitung County, 193 in Penghu County, 112 in Kinmen County, and 22 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 151 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 79 men and 72 women ranging in age from 30 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 105 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between June 1 and 24, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 13,140,344 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 9,563,489. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 3,573,703 cases. Of the 3,573,703 confirmed cases, 14,225 are imported; 3,559,424 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 6,120 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 6,120 deaths, 6,105 are from domestic cases and the other 15 are from imported cases.
