Starting October 5, religious activities to be allowed and national parks to open with certain conditions

On October 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that some disease prevention measures will be loosened starting October 5. The Ministry of the Interior stated that disease prevention and control measures for religious venues, gatherings and activities will be loosened. Pilgrimage groups will be allowed to travel by car throughout the journey to temples for worship and to organize dining events; however, religious pilgrimage processions, parades, and pilgrimages done on foot will not be allowed. Regarding national parks, the daily carrying capacity for mountaineering trails can return to the standard capacity, and the accommodation capacity of mountain cabins in national parks is changed to 1/2 of the capacity, from 1/3.
