On July 26, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 25,071 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 25,071 new cases, 24,790 are domestic and 281 are imported. The CECC announced 37 deaths today.

Regarding the 24,790 new domestic cases, 11,769 are male and 13,011 are female, while the gender of the other 10 cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 3,939 were reported in New Taipei City, 3,120 in Taichung City, 2,584 in Kaohsiung City, 2,523 in Taipei City, 2,211 in Taoyuan City, 2,047 in Tainan City, 1,265 in Changhua County, 870 in Pingtung County, 756 in Yunlin County, 725 in Miaoli County, 651 in Yilan County, 583 in Hsinchu County, 551 in Chiayi County, 544 in Hualien County, 492 in Hsinchu City, 465 in Nantou County, 374 in Keelung City, 357 in Chiayi City, 314 in Taitung County, 256 in Kinmen County, 149 in Penghu County, and 14 in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 37 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 20 men and 17 women ranging in age from 40 to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 281 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between June 30 and July 25, 2022.

The CECC reported that a total of 14,617,978 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 10,139,708. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 4,472,755 cases. Of the 4,472,755 confirmed cases, 18,950 are imported; 4,453,751 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 8,686 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 8,686 deaths, 8,671 are from domestic cases and the other 15 are from imported cases.
