Starting February 7, CECC removes electronic self-health management designation on NHI cards of Taoyuan General Hospital employees and patients who visited the outpatient and emergency departments of the hospital

Concerning the nosocomial infection that occurred in Taoyuan General Hospital, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that it gave 2,135 hospital staff members RT-PCR tests to diagnose SARS-CoV-2 infection, and all the staff members have tested negative. The CECC has also conducted RT-PCR testing of 585 environmental samples from this hospital, and all of the test results have come back negative. After related assessments, the CECC has concluded that the risk of continued transmission and infection from the hospital infection incident has ended. Therefore, the CECC announced that starting 00:00 am on February 7, it removed the electronic self-health management information added to the National Health Insurance (NHI) cards of Taoyuan General Hospital staff members and patients who had visited the outpatient and emergency departments of the hospital after January 6.
