On May 17, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in response to the escalating coronavirus situation in Taiwan, beginning May 17, the National Health Insurance Administration will add two electronic designations: reported cases subsequently testing negative—self-health management cases (within 14 days) and individuals under self-health management after investigations (14 days), to respectively identify individuals reported as a suspected case and subsequently testing negative and those placed under self-health management after epidemiological investigations on the NHI MediCloud System. The measure is adopted to help doctors rapidly determine if a patient is at risk of infection.
