Cumulative total of 355 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Taiwan; 50 patients released from isolation

On April 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that 893 additional cases related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were reported on April 3. As of writing, a cumulative total of 35,442 cases have been reported among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 31,384. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 355 cases (Cases #349-355 confirmed today). Of 355 confirmed cases in Taiwan, 304 are imported and 51 are indigenous. Of the confirmed cases, there have been 5 deaths, and 50 patients have been released from isolation while the remainder remains hospitalized in isolation.
