CECC lifts certain epidemic prevention measures as Taiwan’s coronavirus numbers stabilize

On May 6, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that starting from May 8, Taiwanese people who haven’t left Hubei, China can return to Taiwan on their own but they should take enhanced precautions during their trip back and undergo a 14-day period of group quarantine after entry. Furthermore, the CECC loosened the restrictions on applications for the lodging sites of high mountain national parks; starting from May 7, applications for the lodging sites in Yushan National Park, Taroko National Park and Shei-Pa National Park will be accepted according to the new requirements of lodging site capacity. The CECC further announced that each regular season game of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) can be attended by at most 1,000 spectators starting from May 8.
