On September 30, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced seven new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. All those cases are imported. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the seven new imported cases, they are four men and three women, aged between under 5 to 49 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Indonesia, the US, Denmark, the Philippines, Eswatini (two cases), and Cambodia. They arrived between August 24 and September 28.

The CECC reported that a total of 3,383,403 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 3,365,810. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,223 cases. Of the 16,223 confirmed cases, 1,588 are imported; 14,581 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 110 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 842 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 842 deaths, 830 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
