On December 29, the Central Epidemic Command Center reported that COVID-19 variants continued to spread worldwide and a new surge in domestic infections was ongoing. The Moderna BA.4/BA.5 bivalent COVID-19 vaccine has been made available to individuals aged 6 and older as a booster. Members of the public, especially people aged 65 and older as well as individuals at a higher risk of developing serious complications if infected with COVID-19, are urged to receive a dose of the bivalent vaccine as their booster as soon as possible to enhance protection.
