CECC confirms 247 more cases of Omicron subvariants, including 179 domestic cases and 68 imported cases

On September 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 247 new confirmed cases of Omicron subvariants. Of these new cases, 179 are domestic (106 cases of BA.5 and 73 cases of BA.2) and the other 68 cases (two cases of BA.4, 59 cases of BA.5, five cases of BA.2.75, and two cases of BA.2) are imported. As of now, there have been a cumulative total of 803 imported cases of BA.5, 88 imported cases of BA.4, 16 imported cases of BA.2.75, and 983 cases of BA.2. Furthermore, there have been a cumulative total of 430 confirmed domestic cases of BA.5, four confirmed domestic cases of BA.4, 2,452 confirmed domestic cases of BA.2, and no confirmed domestic cases of BA.2.75.
