CECC expands home isolation measure to include contacts related to hospital cluster infection, effective immediately

On January 24, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it has imposed the home isolation measure for the three groups of people identified as persons related to the hospital cluster infection from January 6 and January 19. The three groups of people listed below are subjected to home isolation starting from today until 14 days after discharge.
  1. Patients who had been discharged during the specified time period and people who live with those patients;
  2. People who had accompanied patients to that hospital during the specified time period and people who live with them;
  3. Individuals who came into contact with Case #889 when he sought medical attention.
The CECC stated that patients and hospital staff who had visited the outpatient and emergency departments of Taoyuan General Hospital since January 6 have been identified as persons subjected to self-health management, and this information would be added to the NHI MediCloud System. The CECC reminded that the above-mentioned personnel related to the hospital cluster infection must not go out starting immediately or they can call 1922 directly and provide information in order to facilitate related arrangements.
