On February 4, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that the COVAX global vaccine-sharing initiative announced its first COVID-19 vaccine distribution list. The first round of the COVAX Facility's vaccine distribution includes 1,303,200 AstraZeneca vaccine doses allocated to non-UN member states, including Taiwan and other non-UN member countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) will notify countries that are to receive vaccine doses of their actual allotted amount and delivery schedule after issuing emergency use approval to the AstraZeneca vaccine. The CECC stays in touch with COVAX to arrange delivery, customs declaration, and other related matters concerning this batch of doses.
