On April 12, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) held a media event called "Thank you: COVID-19 vaccination press conference". CECC Deputy Commander Chen Tsung-yen and CECC Emergency Response Group Deputy Division Director Lo Yi-chun, as well as disease prevention and control personnel at the central and local governments and workers at high risk of exposure, attended the event and were inoculated on the spot. The media event was held to urge Groups 1, 2, and 3 people, a total of 613,000 individuals, to get vaccinated to protect oneself and people around them.

The CECC reminds the public to rest at vaccination sites and observe oneself for at least 30 minutes following vaccination. Furthermore, those receiving two shots of the AstraZeneca vaccine are reminded to be inoculated with inactivated vaccines at least 14 days after COVID-19 vaccination and to get vaccinated with other live attenuated vaccines at least 28 days following COVID-19 inoculation.
