On July 20, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that, effective from July 22, 2022, adults aged 50 and older will be eligible for a second booster shot five months (150 days) after their first booster dose. The CECC made this decision after consulting the experts in the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) at the Ministry of Health and Welfare and evaluating the vaccine supply in Taiwan as well as vaccination policies in other countries.
