On April 22, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that it will make adjustments to visitation management measures for residential long-term care facilities nationwide, effective from April 22. Key points are listed below.

A. Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Kaohsiung City, and Hualien County: visitors will be banned with certain exceptions.

B. Except Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyuan City, Kaohsiung City, and Hualien County, other cities or counties: will allow visitors under the circumstances described in paragraphs C and D below.

C. Visitors who have not received a COVID-19 booster shot for 14 days or longer should provide a negative result of a rapid antigen test (at-home rapid test included) taken on the day of visit. Visitors can be exempted from the screening measure if they were confirmed to have COVID-19, were released from isolation, and experienced onset of symptoms less than three months ago.

D. Regular visitors should meet residents in public areas unless special circumstances require; individuals visiting bedridden residents or residents in single rooms will be allowed to meet such residents in their rooms.
