On February 15, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 19,861 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. Of the 19,861 new cases, 19,505 are domestic and 356 are imported. The CECC announced 65 deaths today.

Regarding the 19,505 new domestic cases, 8,866 are male and 10,636 are female, while the gender of the other three cases is under investigation. They range in age from under five to above 90 years. Of those domestic cases, 3,734 were reported in New Taipei City, 2,507 in Taoyuan City, 2,440 in Taichung City, 2,155 in Kaohsiung City, 1,830 in Taipei City, 1,595 in Tainan City, 840 in Changhua County, 542 in Hsinchu County, 542 in Pingtung County, 486 in Hsinchu City, 453 in Miaoli County, 449 in Yunlin County, 345 in Hualien County, 343 in Keelung City, 337 in Yilan County, 307 in Nantou County, 229 in Chiayi County, 174 in Chiayi City, 128 in Taitung County, 40 in Kinmen County, 25 in Penghu County, and four in Lienchiang County.

Regarding the 65 deaths from domestic cases announced today, they were 35 men and 30 women ranging in age from under five to above 90 years. They were severe cases.

Regarding the 356 imported cases, they all arrived in Taiwan between December 10, 2022, and February 14, 2023.

The CECC reported a cumulative total of 9,862,108 confirmed cases. Of these confirmed cases, 52,690 are imported; 9,809,364 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has an unknown source of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated. There have been a cumulative total of 17,258 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 17,258 deaths, 17,237 are from domestic cases and the other 21 are from imported cases.
