On August 31, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) pointed out that approximately 806,000 people have scheduled appointments in the seventh round of bookings on the COVID-19 vaccination registration and appointment reservation system (https://1922.gov.tw/), and this round of vaccinations will take place from September 3 and September 10. However, to ensure effective use of the vaccine, from 10 a.m. on September 3 to 6 p.m. on September 4, eligibility for scheduling appointments in the current round of inoculations will also be expanded to people aged 23-28 (inclusive, born on December 31, 1998, or earlier) who are not vaccinated and registered their willingness to get vaccinated with the AstaZeneca (AZ) vaccine before July 19, and people in the age group will receive a text message reminding them to schedule a vaccination appointment, which is scheduled to take place between September 9 and September 12.

Regarding the target groups to be vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT) vaccine after its arrival, vaccinations with the BNT vaccine are planned to be provided to adolescents aged 12-17 (inclusive), lists of whom eligible to be vaccinated will be compiled, collectively at schools or given to them after issuing a notice reminding them to visit healthcare facilities designated and contracted by their local health authority. The remaining doses of the BNT vaccine will be prioritized and given to people aged 18-22 (inclusive) who register on the vaccination appointment system and are not vaccinated.
