CECC confirms 3 more imported COVID-19 cases ; cases arrive in Taiwan from Poland, Germany and Indonesia

On November 18, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced three new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Taiwan. All those cases are imported. The CECC announced no deaths today.

Regarding the three new imported cases, they are two men and one woman, aged between 20 to 39 years old. They arrived in Taiwan from Poland, Germany and Indonesia. They arrived between November 3 and November 17.

The CECC reported that a total of 4,270,506 cases related to COVID-19 have been reported in Taiwan among which COVID-19 has been ruled out in 4,252,832. Of these reported cases, infection with COVID-19 was laboratory-confirmed in 16,506 cases. Of the 16,506 confirmed cases, 1,862 are imported; 14,590 are domestic; 36 are naval crew members aboard the Panshi fast combat support ship; 3 are infections on an aircraft; 1 case has unknown sources of infection; 14 cases' sources of infection are being investigated, and a cumulative total of 111 cases have been removed from the list of confirmed cases. There have been a cumulative total of 848 COVID-19 deaths since 2020; of the 848 deaths, 836 are from domestic cases and the other 12 are from imported cases.
