On November 9, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the first batch of Moderna's next-generation bivalent COVID-19 vaccine that targets the Omicron BA.4/BA.5 subvariants, containing 703,000 doses, purchased by the CECC will arrive at Taoyuan International Airport tomorrow morning. This batch of vaccine doses will be shipped to designated cold storage and logistics centers for the subsequent testing and lot release procedures after customs clearance. These vaccines are scheduled to be offered to individuals aged 12 and older as boosters starting November 18.
