At present, rapid testing at airports on the main island of Taiwan for travelers flying to outlying islands is voluntary. However, to alleviate concerns, travelers who test positive or weak positive at airports will only be allowed to board their flight after they test negative by PCR testing, without consideration of a margin of error.
