As the supplies of both Novartis and Adimmune vaccines continue to remain stable, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that the public could choose the brand of the pandemic influenza A (H1N1) vaccine they want to be vaccinated with at contracted hospitals beginning January 9, 2010.

In the morning of January 6, 2010, the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (Taiwan CDC) and the local health agencies decided the new policy would take effect beginning January 9, 2010 since the reallocation of vaccines would require time.On the other hand, infants and children under ten that need two H1N1 vaccine doses should choose the same brand of vaccine for the two doses to ensure safety and efficacy of the vaccine.

Roughly the same amounts of Novartis and Adimmune vaccines are left.At the time of writing, there are approximately 1,690,000 Novartis vaccines and 1,890,000 Adimmune vaccines in the nation.
