CECC confirms 100 more cases of Omicron subvariants, including 41 domestic cases and 59 imported cases

On October 17, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced 100 new confirmed cases of Omicron subvariants. Of these new cases, 41 are domestic (40 cases of BA.5 and one case of BA.2) and the other 59 cases (45 cases of BA.5, one case of BF.7, six cases of BA.2.75, four cases of BA.2, and three cases of BA.4.6) are imported. As of now, there have been a cumulative total of 1,151 imported cases of BA.5, four imported cases of BF.7, two cases of BQ.1.1, 103 cases of BA.4, 1,023 cases of BA.2, 50 cases of BA.2.75, and one case of XBB. Furthermore, there have been a cumulative total of 783 domestic cases of BA.5, five domestic cases of BA.4, 2,514 domestic cases of BA.2, and no domestic cases of BA.2.75, BF.7, BQ.1.1, or XBB.
