On June 13, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported that five imported cases of the Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 were intercepted at the border. They all arrived between June 2 and 7, 2022. The cases of BA.5 arrived from the US (two cases), Turkey, and Poland. The cases of BA.4 all arrived from Chili.
