On April 6, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced that in consideration of the recent surge in domestic infections, it will ease home isolation rules starting today to satisfy practical needs and safeguard disease prevention efforts in communities. Eased rules are listed below.

A. The principle of "one person per room" (a separate room with a bathroom) should be observed during the home isolation period.
B. If home isolation rules are observed and bathrooms can be properly cleaned and disinfected after each use, individuals in home isolation can isolate in separate rooms without bathrooms.
C. If all household members are required to undergo isolation, they can isolate in the same residence.
D. In principle, arrivals who are placed under home isolation when they undergo quarantine should complete the isolation period in their quarantine locations; however, Rules A to C mentioned above do not apply in order to reduce risks.

The CECC pointed out that the regulation that prioritizes arrivals who are placed under home isolation when undergoing quarantine for isolation in government quarantine facilities will no longer be applicable.
