One severe case was newly confirmed in Week 27, 2016 (July 3 to July 9, 2016, Fig. 1).Twelve cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. One case was 6 years old and others were aged 0-3 (Table 1). Eleven cases were infected with EV71 and one was infected with Coxsackie A5. Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
