Jan 19, 2016-- As of January 19, 2016, no case of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) has been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. In 2015, there were 6 cases (including 2 deaths) of EVSC. These cases were all aged below 1 year old (Table 1); 3 cases caused by Coxsackie B5, 2 cases caused by Coxsackie A16, and 1 case caused by Echo 3. Figure 1 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence. 

No severe case was newly confirmed in Week 2, 2016 (January 13 to January 19, 2016, Fig. 2).
