Enterovirus Infection with Severe Complications in Taiwan - Week 22

Two severe cases were newly confirmed in Week 22, 2016 (May 29 to June 4, 2016, Fig. 1). Five cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. All of the cases were aged 0-3 (Table 1). They were all infected with EV71. Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
