One severe case was newly confirmed in Week 24, 2016 (June 12 to June 18, 2016, Fig. 1). Seven cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (EVSC) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2016. All of the cases were aged 0-3 (Table 1). Six were infected with EV71 and one was infected with Coxsackie A5. Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
