July 14, 2015-- As of July 14, 2015, 4 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications (including 2 death) have been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2015. These cases were all aged below 1 year old (Table 1); 2 cases caused by Coxsackie B5 and 2 cases caused by Coxsackie A16. Figure 1 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence. In 2014, there were 6 cases (including 1 death) of enterovirus infection with severe complications. 

One severe case was confirmed in Week 27 (July 8 to July 14, Fig. 2). The case was a newborn baby girl. She was infected by Coxsackie A16 and has been discharged.
