June 2, 2015-- As of June 2, 2015, 1 case of enterovirus infection with severe complications has been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2015. This case was caused by Coxsackie B5 and aged below 1 year old (Table 1). Figure 1 displays the geographical distribution of the case according to the residence. In 2014, there were 6 cases (including 1 death) of enterovirus infection with severe complications.

No severe case was newly confirmed in Week 21 (May 27 to June 2, Fig. 2).
