Enterovirus Infection with Severe Complications in Taiwan - Week 18

During Week 18 (April 30 to May 6), 2017, no new severe case of enterovirus infection was confirmed (Figure 1). One enterovirus infection case with severe complications (EVSC) has been confirmed by Taiwan CDC in 2017. This case was a one-year-old boy (Table 1) and caused by Coxsackie A2.

Figure 2 displays the geographical distribution of these cases according to their residence.
