February 10, 2009--As of February 10, 2009, 4 cases of enterovirus infection with severe complications had been reported and confirmed by Taiwan CDC. Among these 4 confirmed cases, 1 was still hospitalized (in general hospital ward), and 3 had been discharged. Those 4 confirmed cases were all below 5 years of age. (see Table 1(pdf file)), and 2 cases were located in the northern and 1 each in the southern and central area of Taiwan. (see Fig. 1(pdf file))

During Week 6 (February 4 to February 10), no case was newly confirmed. (see Fig. 2(pdf file))
